The most westerly valley in South Tyrol, Val Venosta, stretches from Merano and environs to the Passo Resia mountain pass. The variety of the landscape is simply immense: apricots and apple trees on one side, imposing mountains of 3000 m of altitude on the other, first and foremost the highest mountain in South Tyrol, the Ortles. In summer, the splendid nature landscape awaits you for hiking and cycling. Numerous ski resorts attract athletes from everywhere in winter. Val Venosta has plenty to offer also from a cultural point of view. The offer ranges from traditional events and preserved customs to castles, palaces and museums, which are definitely worth a visit.
