High-altitude path of Merano
Enjoy breathtaking views of Val Passirio, Merano, Sarntaler-, Stubaier-; or Ötztaler Alps. On sunny days the Dolomites, the Brenta-Group and the Ortler seem to be very close.
The circuit consists of two parts. The Southern high-altitude path of Merano extends from Monte St. Catherina in Senales Valley to Ulfas in Val Passirio.
The Northern path continues then and brings you to the middle of the wildlife park ‘Texelgruppe’, where the calm, virgin nature could be disturbed only by fascinating creatures as the golden eagle or the marmot. Because of the multitude of ways up and down you might plan your walk as you like, but to take a rest for a delicious snack at one of the idyllic pastures really is a must.
